SKIRT

From the planks and beams I found in the temporary studio I made a site-specific work for Neck Of The Woods Rotterdam. A striking feature of this large space is the panes that extend to the floor, something you often see in the ground floor of older office buildings. 
To draw attention to this and also to transform this feature, I placed the planks as a paneling against the windows. 
Paneling was commonly used to give a space a fancy look and improve acoustics. It makes the wide space of Gallery NOTW look more private.
